TALK: TOUCHING UPON THE INTANGIBLE: WHAT’S IN A NAME?

Khun Sirikitiya Jensen, Director of In Situ from Outside, will begin the talk by discussing the role that language plays in the development the core concepts for this exhibition.

Khun Sirikitiya’s talk will be followed by a discussion between collaborators from the “Linguists” Team that deconstructed the names of Rama IV and Second King Pingklao. They will discuss the importance of naming in Thai culture, and will walk the audience through the

process of how the Kings’ names were for deconstructed for this exhibition.
